Gloucester Moves to Level 2 Water Use Restrictions Amid Drought

TOWN HALL The city moved to Level 2 water use restrictions effective August 11, tightening rules on outdoor water use as drought conditions continue. The announcement, posted to the city's CivicAlerts system, did not detail specific new limits beyond the restriction level itself; residents are directed to the city's water restrictions page for current guidance.

Separately, the City Clerk's office gave public notice that vote tabulators will be tested ahead of the September 1 state primary, a routine step in election preparation. The city has issued several reminders in recent days about primary-related deadlines and office closures.
